Say “NO!” to clutter

simple
I guess you could say my approach to art and design is very modern and feministic. I like to keep designs simple and uncluttered. I see clutter as elements of visual articles that have “no place” in a design, and as a result, spoil the main focus or pivotal point I wish to convey. The simplistic quality of a design contributes to the particular mood I strive to generate in a viewer, and the presence of clutter fails to reinforce this mood. The main reason for this is that clutter, or “too much”, in a design makes me anxious. When I am confronted with an image which has too many things happening, and basically looks as messy as my brothers room on a friday afternoon, I start to feel restless and chaotic. When the many elements of a design work together, complementing eachother and accentuating the beauty of one another, then a design is not cluttered. However, when the many elements of a design fail to produce this effect, then a design is cluttered and chaotic.
